The feeding frequency of the dog should be treated according to the age of the dog. Generally, the puppies are fed more frequently and the adult dogs are fed less frequently. If the feeding frequency is too frequent, the dog may not finish eating. At this time, the number of feedings should be reduced. If the frequency is too few, the dog will appear irritable when it is close to the next feeding time. At this time, the number of feedings should be increased.

Under normal circumstances, it can be fed as follows.

  1. Weaning period (within 3 months): Feed high-protein food 4 times a day.
  2. From 3 to 6 months of birth: Feeding a high-protein and high-energy diet requires about twice the nutrition of an adult dog, that is, about 10% of the body weight, 3 times a day.
  3. 6-12 months of birth: It is still in the growth period, and the daily dose is 10-15% of body weight, twice a day.
  4. 1-7 years old: This period belongs to adult dogs, once a day is enough.
  5. Lactation period: 3-4 times a day, do not feed too much each time.
